Are the ever-shortening days of fall taking their toll on your energy levels?
Here's just the thing for a boost. A nutritious alternative to coffee - or maybe it'll keep you from having one too many cups (nuthin' against a good cuppa jo!).
Our main ingredient, matcha, is finely milled green tea known the world over for it's rich antioxidant content, weight loss benefits and energy boosting properties. Mix it with some healthy raw seeds and nuts, a couple medjool dates and you've got yourself the king of power-shakes.
Ingredients
Go organic.
½ cup soaked cashews
3 tsp matcha powder
2 big romaine leaves
1 Tbsp hemp hearts
1½ cups of almond milk
Optional: add a half or full scoop of your favourite protein powder (vanilla or plain work best).
Blend until creamy and kiss the doldrums good-bye. Discover a whole new meaning to the word 'perky'!
