Yoga and wellness expert, Erin Urton, shares her craft: divine and decadent smoothie creative. Slurp your way towards vitality with these anything-but-ordinary, power-packed blender concoctions.
Sweet ripe blackberries and tart green apple are perfect partners for making a low glycemic smoothie. Add plenty of greens, creamy avocado, hearty hemp hearts, and a touch fragrant basil, and you have a dream for all the senses.
The superfood boost: mushrooms!
Nowadays, there are lots of different powdered mushroom blends on the market as these funky fungi are known to be ultra-immune boosters and anti-aging warriors. You can go with a pure blend of red reishi or chaga, or use my current favourite - a blend of 14 different kinds of mushroom! I've found that most kinds are very neutral tasting and therefore undetectable in your smoothie.
