Did you know that taking just 30 seconds to slow down and breathe can completely change your perspective? We tried to share that revelation on the busy streets of Toronto but were the people too busy for zen? This social experiment had surprising results.
Courtney Sunday's on a mission to help people put a little more zen in their lives. Stress is one of the biggest and most common health risks we face today. As a mindfulness expert, she knows that even a few deep breaths, taking even 30 seconds to reset and be present, is immensely health-boosting. So, she hits the streets of Canada's biggest city armed with a 'Free Zen' sign to see if she can convince people to accept a spontaneous meditation.
It's a zenterruption! She offers to help people de-stress, to recapture happiness, to feel better, and to just slow down a little but does anyone take her up on her offer? She practically begs them to take a minute, 30 seconds, 15 seconds... Will they accept a free zenterruption in their day? Would you stop for a zenterruption? Could you?
Zen it forward! Make your own 'Free Zen' sign and go do some zenterrupting of your own! If you do, please share the results with us.
