We had some dreams; they were clouds in our coffee.
Clouds made of sweet steamed milk with ornate leaves and petals drawn into them with some truly delectable coffee. Analog Coffee is Fratello Coffee Roaster's new dream-come-true coffee shop down on Calgary’s 17th Ave.
Analog refers to a throw back of something old-school (think analog clocks). The vibrant stockpile of chunky picture frames and the trendy vinyl records that adorn the walls will catch your eye as you ponder which consciously chosen roast to sip on. From smooth and subtle roasts, to the bold and spicy, there’s a flavour for every palate to enjoy.
The shop is owned and operated by the Prefontaine Brothers who serve up hand-roasted brews seven days a week. They use a system of direct trade with their coffee suppliers and growers. This means they have close access to the people and communities they work with. The brothers also hand roast small batches of their own personal choosing, so be sure to check ‘em out at their roastery and their stall at the Calgary Farmer’s Market to enjoy some extra special blends.
If it’s a quick bite you’ve come in for, Analog offers baking and sandwiches from La Boulangerie and Sidewalk Citizen. De-lish!
The stuff dreams are made of.
