Cool tones, radiant windows and inspiring mountain views make The Yoga Lounge a reflective and contemplative space. Established in 2002, it was Canmore’s first dedicated yoga studio and is now under the direction of Jeff Mah and Hilary Young.
While the studio offers the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa System of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, you can also enjoy liberating Vinyasa Flow, soothing Yin, or revitalizing Restorative yoga.
This studio remains strongly rooted in tradition while creating a safe space for practitioners to learn, play and explore. The energy is uplifting but gentle. It inspires students to get serious about deepening their practice, whether they are just beginning or have years of experience.
Skilled instructors offer their unique expertise to support you – on and off the mat. This same team offers specialized classes meant to cater to different students’ needs. Moms can enjoy Prenatal and Mom & Baby yoga sessions, and advanced practitioners should watch for registered backbending sessions and level two classes. They also serve up a popular weekly Yoga Lab class, high-energy monthly Yoga Jam sessions and throughout the year, host workshops with well-known and inspiring yoga teachers, including inversion specialist Tiffany Cruikshank and Yoga for Youth's Ryan Leier.
