Be the frog and hop on the green moving trend.
Started by Doug Burgoyne and Trevor MacCaw in Vancouver, Frogbox popped up in the Okanagan in 2011 when local franchisee James Kirkpatrick saw the business on TV and knew this business could be his prince. Now he drops off and picks up green-coloured, environmentally friendly boxes to those on the move. The stackable bins not only make the move easier they also last for up to 400 moves and are recycled when their tour of duty is over.
Got a few items that don’t fit in those cute, green tubs? Frogbox can also provide you with biodegradable mattress covers and bubble wrap (don’t worry, popping it will relieve just as much stress as the original stuff), re-usable plastic wardrobe boxes and recycled packing paper.
Frogbox Kelowna makes sure they hop the hop by not having a resource-sucking bricks and mortar store and keeping the business online (booking your boxes is just a click away), driving a diesel truck and donating 1% of their gross revenue to Ducks Unlimited.
As the old Native American saying goes, ‘the frog does not drink up the pond in which he lives’. We’d bet he also doesn’t pollute it when he moves from pad to pad either.
