Free bread! Well, more like bread that’s free of the things you don’t want in your loaf.
Edible Flours bakery is sweet relief for anyone with dietary sensitivities and ethical commitments. Not only is every baked thing vegan, natural and made with unrefined ingredients, there are also delicious treats and simple breads free from gluten, wheat, soy, eggs, and sugar.
Beyond the bread, Edible Flours carries a delectably wide range of baked goods, from doughnuts to cookies to seasonal specialities like Pumpkin Pie. There aren’t any bad choices but we’re particularly fond of the Banana Chocolate Chip Loaf and we melt behind a slice of the Chocolate Raspberry Cake. Serve up their Cinnamon Raisin Scones at tea-time and the cups will go untouched until every last crumb has been devoured.
Edible Flours is the brain child of Paul Briggs and Alli Neville, whose goal is ‘to change the world one bite at a time.’ Using all natural products and even an environmentally-conscious courier for deliveries, Edible Flours began to delight Vancouverites with its delicious roster of digestible darlings in Spring 2011.
Committed to being open and transparent, a complete list of exactly what’s in your baked bundle is available for inspection. Drop by this Kits shop and watch the bakers at work in their open concept store.
Once you see all the love that goes into every donut, cupcake and loaf, you’ll agree, bread that’s free of hidden and potentially harmful ingredients is worth every penny.
