Finding the right bike isn’t merely important – at this bike shop, it’s an obsession.
It took multiple crashes and wipeouts for James Wilson to realize that the right bike is everything. His staff at Obsession: Bikes - a North Vancouver “specyclist” since 1992 - is dedicated to finding the right bike for would-be Lance Armstrongs and green-thinking commuters alike.
With hundreds of models to choose from, the path to the right bike requires listening. Obsession works in tandem with its clientele, assessing the what, where, and how of each rider’s needs. Entering the shop, it becomes clear that bikes are only the beginning. They also offer a wide range of protective gear and parts to perfect your particular two-wheeler.
In need of repair? Schedule an appointment with Lou Costa, or take advantage of Obsession’s in-house or field tuning clinics. Their open-concept service desk will do its best to take care of quick fixes right before your eyes to ensure you won’t end up bikeless.
They’re also obsessed with community support. The shop lends tech services to events such as the Ride to Conquer Cancer and the BC Bike Race. In addition to sponsoring a number of local charitable organizations, Obsession also runs the local Bike for Tykes program, restoring used bikes for underprivileged kids in time for Christmas each year.
Obsess much.
