Our skin absorbs anywhere from 21 to 94 percent of what we put on it.
It’s an alarming statistic when you know that harmful elements, such as synthetic parabens and phthalates, are used in most bath and body products. Thankfully, you won’t be finding any of these in the all-natural products coming from the Rocky Mountain Soap Company.
Motivated to find the most nurturing and therapeutic ingredients nature has to offer, owners Cam Baty and Karina Birch established the company in 1995. Once a 300 square foot shop in Canmore, Alberta, Rocky Mountain Soap Company has now grown to encompass ten stores, a multitude of vendors across Canada and a 7000 square foot workshop.
Rocky Mountain Soap’s products smell so tantalizingly delicious that you’ll be tempted to taste them. Try their Green Tea and Cucumber Soap, Lemongrass Body Butter or Cinnamon Lip Plump to give your body some chemical-free love. They have the whole family covered – head to toe – with products like Tiny Tot Foaming Wash and the Men’s Shave Bar.
As good as their creams and cleansers are for your body, they’re also good for the environment. All of their products are biodegradable and “tested on owners, not animals.” Their factory runs on Bullfrog Power and they pack their shipments using biodegradable cornstarch peanuts. Their website also features handy tips, including a list of ingredients to avoid in products.
Slather away.
