Suddenly the relaxed mind is fully and completely replaced by the planning mind. There is a lot to organize. There is even more to do.
Of course, there will be a time when every book you own will have a place on a shelf and every dish is put away.
Yet meditation trains us that even when our outer world is in chaos, our inner world can be
relaxed and open. We can form a container for our experience and we can move into it.
Rather than getting fancy and changing up your meditation when you’re in the midst of a move, go with the technique that
feels like an old friend. Whether it is breathing or a mantra or just offering yourself the gift of silence, set a timer for at least 10 minutes.
Give back to your soul. Feel the stillness amidst of all the changes.
Get back up and choose to move with purpose.
