There are times in life when you can almost smell the change a-coming. As much as you may feel comfy and snug in your sameness, it’s only natural that
shifts happen. It is what makes us better.
Still, there may be some anxiety when you hear the tapping of change at your door.
In meditation, we try to move away from things
like desire and aversion. When we desire for things to stay exactly as they are, we aren’t enabling the flow of life to happen organically. When we avert from natural shifts, we aren’t opening ourselves up to the possibility of even more happiness.
Have a seat for this meditation.
Take a deep breath and exhale. Repeat a few more times.
Take a word that you feel you may need to approach this shift with a new attitude. Perhaps it is “courage.” Perhaps it is “grace.” Any word at all will do, letting this meditation be as individual as you are.
Continue to repeat this word to yourself as the word resonates in your mind and travels within your body. Every time you get distracted, gently bring yourself back to the word that has been within you all along.
You can be the change you wish to see in the world.
You can also approach change with open arms.
Open your eyes and move forward.
