Inspired by Gabrielle Bernstein, we have to get on board with being present when we are dating. In a world of fast swipe Tinder choices, it can be hard to stay in the moment rather than mentally thinking, “Next!”
 
Prior to your next date, save a few moments for meditation rather than primping.
 
Stand up and start shaking your body. Shake your shoulders. Shake your hips. Shake your wrists. Do this for a few minutes (bass pumping music optional).
 
Imagine that you are shaking off your preconceptions.
 
You are shaking off your habits.
 
You are even shaking off your baggage. Shake it off. Shake it off.

When you feel a little warm and a little silly, let yourself grin.
 
Hold yourself still. Take five deep breaths into the pit of your belly and out through your nostrils.
 
Whether they’re the love of your life doesn’t matter. Go and have an awesome time tonight.
 
Centered and undeniably yourself.
