Dr. Tina Chadda had a moment in her life where she lost everything. Her house had burnt down and she had only $1200. During this time, she walked by a pile of books. One of them was Frances Mayes' Under The Tuscan Sun. Tina convinced her husband (who was undergoing cancer treatment at the time) and four kids to come with her to Italy.
There is something so satisfyingly healing about a place that encourages its inhabitants to enjoy life. Italy doesn’t care about your accomplishments. It just wants you to be present. “It was an awakening of another side of life,” remembers Tina.
Now she goes there every year and she wants you to come with her this summer from July 15-22.
There may be no better place to learn the art of mindfulness than in the pastoral Umbrian landscape. Tina created a “meaningful, transformative and intelligent” retreat that can be transferred to a busy, multitasking life. Past participants have formed strong friendships and have reconnected at reunion events. The most dangerous thing about this event is that it could become a soul-affirming habit.
You not only get tools for life, but also a week with a private chef, private driver and award-winning psychiatrist. “I really put my heart and soul into it,” notes Tina. “I hope that it helps people.”
The retreat has been known to attract amazing people. Are you one of them?
