Inject a little magic into your smoothie routine and reach for a
bottle of kombucha as your liquid base. Not only does it add a tongue-tingling effervescence, you’re getting a nice dose of
probiotics to enhance the digestive process (which may be working over-time this time of year!).
I chose lemongrass kombucha to give a lonely pear some sass, and added an array of digestive boosting and aromatic herbs to give it some green and personality.
Now blend it up and raise a glass… to your health!
Ingredients
Go organic.
1 pear, peel on, no core
1 cup lemongrass kombucha (my fave is Rise)
2-3 basil leaves
2-3 mint leaves
Mellow greens like spinach or romaine make a great addition of detoxifying and oxygenating chlorophyll. Add ’em in if you feel so inclined. Add a bit more kombucha, too.
Blend it all until smooth and have an effervescent and vibrant New Year!
