It’s been hyped-up, gussied up, and put into the spotlight, and all for good reason:
Green tea is practically synonymous with the word antioxidant.
The simple, humble drink houses the notable epigallocatechin-3-gallate - a mouthful known in the medical world as EGCG. What’s that, you say? EGCG is a potent compound that is believed to be beneficial in treating and preventing an array of health conditions, including high cholesterol, diabetes, joint health, liver disease, skin health, and many, many
different types of cancer.
Knowing all that,
tea time seems an obvious choice, right? Since it’s the weekend, we recommend pairing this grassy drink with some raw honey for its immune-boosting properties, grapefruit for added Vitamin C, and Martini Bianco because YOLO.
Now sit back, relax, and let’s all cheers to our health!
