Hemp is as tasty as it is versatile, and these crunchy little seeds--or hearts as they’re sometimes called--are a highly regarded plant-based protein. Sprinkle them on your cereal, put them into baked goods, or top a salad with them for
an extra little crunch.
If you can spare 10 minutes, you can also make a refreshing, plant-based milk. Simply blend with water. A refreshing take on any milk that you already use (dairy or non), you can drink this brew straight up or use it to replace milk in most other applications.
Here are 5 ways to use this nutritious sip, if you don’t drink it all first!
● For some added protein, try adding hemp milk to your next batch of
pancakes
● Use it for flavour in your favourite
smoothie
● Add it to a “
milkshake” and don’t even feel guilty
●
Chia puddings take on the flavour of the liquid you pair it with, so why not try this one?!
● Replace the milk in your
baked goods with a little hemp love!
One point of note: Once you see how easy (and tasty) it is to make your own milk, you might never go back!
