Cranberry juice is most commonly used as treatment for urinary tract infections, but its beneficial properties extend far beyond
those nether regions.
The flavonoids present in cranberry juice have antioxidant properties that have been shown to decrease the risk of plaque build-up in the arteries. Less plaque means cleaner arteries, cleaner arteries means smoother blood flow to the heart, smoother blood flow to the heart means
a happy, healthy heart, and you can see how this cocktail got its name.
The addition of the sweet, floral St. Germaine elevates this beverage from a pedestrian potation to a sassy, sexy sip.
The Sweetheart
Note: For a more superior drink, chill your liquids before making the cocktail.
¾ oz vodka
½ oz St. Germain
4 oz cranberry juice
Pour all of the ingredients into a short glass filled with ice. Stir to combine and serve.
