Are you looking to incorporate a little dance into your workouts but Richard Simmons’ “Party off the Pounds” isn’t exactly your style? Look no further. Anyone from the skillful ballerina to the Hokey Pokey-loving dance fan can join Niki Pisils for her energetic dance-inspired
fitness classes around Montreal.
As a professional dancer, Niki has always been more fascinated by the behind the scenes aspects of dance rather than the performance - the conditioning of a dancer’s body and the intense combination of flexibility and strength training. She started checking out hot yoga classes at
Enso Yoga Montreal and the rest is history.
Hot Barre is a totally steamy twist on
your standard Barre class. You sweat buckets, you stretch and you get your heart rate up with some serious cardio and a side of strength training. Niki’s killer arm series has got a serious love/hate relationship with the Hot Barre community, but oh man, is it worth it.
Niki also began a Ballet Bootcamp program that you can dive into at Mansfield Athletic Club. This class is a total party - you won’t even notice
how hard you’re working (until the next day of course) because of its quick pace and killer upbeat tunes.
You’ve been forewarned, Niki’s classes are intense, but it’s about time you upped your Hokey Pokey game.
Keep an eye out for Ballet Bootcamp party events by Niki as well as classes popping up around the city. Check out Enso Yoga and Mansfield Athletic Club’s website to catch a class with her.
