Who says a cocktail on the patio can't be healthy?
We show you how to mix up a jug of sparkling organic sangria using organic rosé wine from Summerhill Pyramid Winery and tons of delicious organic fruit - just in time to beat the summer heat.
What you need:
1 bottle of organic rosé wine
Sparkling water OR Santa Cruz Lemonade (or other flavours)
1 each of organic orange, lemon & lime
Organic fresh berries (we love raspberries, strawberries & blackberries)
Organic pineapple & kiwi (essentially, you can choose any of the fruits you want - think about the flavours you want to come through as you sip away on the porch)
1-2 Tbsp organic lemonade concentrate
Directions:
1. Cut up your fruit and place into your serving pitcher (save a little for the frozen fruit cubes or buy a little extra).
2. Add the entire bottle of wine.
3. Stick on a lid or cover the pitcher and place in the fridge overnight (or at least a good 6 hours).
4. Just before you're ready to serve, add the organic lemonade concentrate into the pitcher for a little sweetness and give it a good stir.
5. Add as much of the sparkling water you'd like (depends on how light you want the sangria to taste) and just a gentle stir to mix all together.
6. Add your frozen fruits to your glasses and pour that delicious sangria right over top.
7. Time to chill out on your patio or porch and soak it all up.
