1. Compassion. It's not always easy to put yourself in someone else's shoes and feel for their circumstance.
Developing compassion requires hard work for many of us. Start small by becoming aware of and letting go of some of the emotions that get in the way of compassion like judgement, expectation,
comparison and resentment. So, maybe a little less time on social media?
2. Meditating. There are so many ways that
meditation can help you be your most awesome self including improving your health, increasing your mental clarity, making you nicer to be around and, most importantly, reminding yourself that you are worth it!
Make time, take time, to meditate.
3. Mindfulness. Ever since 'multi-tasking' became a resume-worthy skill, mindfulness has taken back seat in the skills category. Let's bring it back! Giving your full attention to things like eating and yoga can accelerate your wellness while being mindful of your actions and your words can
elevate your relationships. Once you master this skill you can pair the two and be a mindful multi-tasker. Look out, world.
4. Listen More, Listen Better. There’s so much noise out there but is anyone hearing it? Want to be your most awesome self? Become a listener. Stop trying to think of the next thing to say or worry about winning an argument,
just listen instead. That's step one. Step two is really hearing what people are saying and giving it some thought. Really listening keeps us in the moment and experiencing life - and there's real joy in that.
5. Truth-Talking. We're not liars, not really, but let's be honest, we don't always tell the truth. Do you know who we fib to most often? Ourselves. If you want to live in awesomeness, you're going to need to start telling the truth. You deserve to hear the truth and a little honesty goes a long way. Honest.
