The day
Courtney Sunday signed up for her first yoga teacher training, her heart raced. She didn’t feel like an athlete. She wasn’t a public speaker. What the heck did she think she was doing?
Apparently she was on the way to finding her passion.
After more than 800 hours of yoga teacher training and five years teaching classes and retreats, Courtney made her heart race again by designing her own
yoga teacher training program.
Again the doubt came: who did she think she was?
Ignoring it, Courtney designed the yoga program that brought together all of her diverse experiences. There would be yoga assists that were inspired by her time in Thailand
learning Thai massage. There would be yoga for the chronologically enriched to pay tribute to her favourite elderly students. There would be yin
and vinyasa. There would be philosophy and laughter.
After realizing that her favourite trainings were the intimate ones, Courtney decided to build a program that was for 8 people or less. A program where everyone felt honoured and everyone’s voice was heard.
Her first students graduated in May 2015 and the experience was affirming. One of the students declared, “After a nine hour day, I left feeling energized and wanting more.”
The 2015/16 dates are now set to do it again and create an environment where people feel challenged and enlightened. There will be discussion rather than dogma. The course is designed to just be once a month on Saturday and Sunday to
fit into busy schedules.
Maybe you’ll learn about yourself. Maybe you’ll become a teacher. Maybe both. Does the outcome matter when you’re living in the present?
This program is already halfway booked! Please
