It’s Friday and you've worked hard this week so, how about something easy? It’s the Fast Friday 5 – a quick five things you need to know, served up nice and simple.
We all do it - most of the time without realizing; we forget to be awesome. It’s not easy always being your best you but it’s time to get out of your own way and leave these 5 roadblocks in the dust.
1. Stop Should’ve, Could’ve and What-iffing. Every time you spend energy and time thinking about what you could have said or should have done or what if something, something – you’re missing out on what’s going on right now. Let it go and focus on what amazing stuff you can manifest in the here and now.
2. Stop Being Passive in Your Communications. We think we’re being polite but we’re really telling people we aren’t confident. Say it. Mean it. And don’t worry about approval. Do it all with a smile and you’ll be unstoppable.
3. Stop Procrastinating. This is a tall order for a lot of people but there are little adjustments that make it easier. Start by abolishing the snooze button – after all, a day started in procrastination is bound to lead to more. Here’s another tip - stop accepting deadlines, dates or projects you don’t want to do. Now that’s proactive procrastination prevention!
4. Stop Comparing Your Real Life to ‘Facebook Reality.’ You know how movies are fake, right? Well, just like the perfectly edited lives on the big screen, your friends’ Facebook lives show only the best bits. Celebrate (and share) those cool life moments just remember there’s a lot of ‘other’ life on the cutting room floor.
5. Stop Forgetting to Hug and Kiss the Ones You Love. How long does a hug take, like 5 seconds (10 if you mean it)? And a kiss? There’s always time to say hello, goodbye and I can’t get over how super-duper-great it is to have you in my life. It’ll make you feel good and the recipient feel even better.
No more red lights – it’s a green wave to your bestest you.
Make the Fast Friday Five list grow. What are your roadblocks on the highway to awesomeness and what are your strategies to beat 'em?
