Judith and Mark Bewer opened the store in 2004, the result of a personal journey. For seven years their Irish wolfhound, Tuxedo, suffered terribly from what appeared to be allergies. In an effort to ease her condition, they began feeding her human food. She started to rally. After comprehensive research and study the Bewers became proponents of natural healthy pet foods, treats and health care products. Their mission is to treat the whole animal – inside and out.

As champions of a fresh, raw food diet, they promote the nutrients found in muscle, organ meat, bone, tripe, fruits and vegetables. Buy in bulk and it ends up being cheaper than using store bought food.  As a bonus, free delivery is available on orders of $50.00 or more.

Unleashed is more than food. They carry thoughtfully designed gear, toys and beds devoid of toxic chemicals or ingredients.  Is Fido a fetcher? Try a ball crafted from toxic-free wool. They are solid, durable and washable.

Chatting with owner Mark, his teaching background is evident. He’s a patient, knowledgeable resource and likes nothing more than to educate customers on the benefits of a raw diet. Oh, and Tuxedo? The changes in her diet resulted in amazing improvements in her health and she lived to a ripe old age of 14.
