They’re not kidding—it really is a house. A very pretty little house, actually. But Kelowna Yoga House is more than just bricks and mortar: it’s a spiritual home.
To find your way into its heart, meander up the garden path, glide under the graceful tree shading the yard and cross the threshold. The enclosed world radiates aesthetic beauty matched by spiritual depth.
Kelowna Yoga House was the original yoga studio in town, and their current 10th anniversary celebration proves they’re doing a lot of things more than right. They’re doing things properly. KYH is the Kelowna home for Iyengar Yoga, the most precise, disciplined, traditional form of yoga available in the West. Iyengar teachers—including those at KYH—are the PhDs of the yoga world, having trained in India with the venerable Mr. Iyengar himself, for three years.
The instructors are also deeply devoted to their yoga family and provide careful, caring, detailed guidance exactly suited to your level (from beginner to advanced).
Join the house to become part of a warm community with strong roots in town, not to mention worldwide shoots. A non-profit charitable organization run by volunteers, KYH extends its homestyle to Kelownites by providing free community introductory classes, a bursary program for penniless yogis, a work exchange program, outreach classes for community groups and astoundingly affordable rates for students. They call it “karma yoga”—selfless service.
We call it the kind of house we’d like to make our home.
