Greek yogurt is the new black.
If you’re not into it yet, here’s why you should be: higher in protein and lower in sugar than regular yogurt, this fermented dairy product is no one-trick pony. With typically double the amount of protein, Greek yogurt will help promote fullness and give your body the fuel it needs to form its basic building blocks – leading to better growth, maintenance, and repair of your cells.
But watch out for desserts masquerading as yogurt. The amount of sugar hidden in flavoured yogurts puts their health claims to shame. Not to mention sheer visual appeal. Fruit on the bottom? How about a gelatinous mess? So flip it upside down.
Or in this case, right side up. Buy your yogurt plain and kick the junk. Then add some funk to your ferment by making your own fruit on the bottom (or top) yogurt. Whether you see it as dessert or a snack, there’s no doubt that DIY-ing will be doing your body good.
