I never hesitate to wax poetics on how much I love food, especially given what I do with my spare time. And combining food and poetry isn’t anything new for tuja wellness.
So in honour of Hallowe’en, some spook-inspired recipes were in order.
In the form of Haiku, of course.
Caramel Dip for Apples
Dates and almond milk
Cashew butter, vanilla
Salt and whizz ‘til smooth
Smoky Pumpkin Seeds
Pat pumpkin seeds dry
Olive oil, smoked paprika
Salt to taste and bake
Candy Corn Cocktail
Get some club soda
Soak candy corn with vodka
Mix then pour on ice
Sweet and Salty Cookies
Crush potato chips
(You know there’s always extra)
Mix with cookie dough
Morning After Remedy
Amp up a smoothie
To counteract all those treats
By adding pumpkin
