Imagine your favourite neighbourhood bar as a gym. It's got the killer tunes, a community vibe and of course, plenty of eye candy. Trade in that appletini for some dumbbells and you'll find yourself in Phil Black's happy place.
Black is the owner of Montreal's hottest new gym,Blackout Fitness, located in the heart of the up-and-coming Griffintown area. He's slowly changing people's minds about what it means to belong to a fitness club.
Their focus is creating a community approach to training, while maintaining the individual as a priority, especially when it comes to tracking progress and pushing limits. The loft-style facility offers state-of-the-art equipment and machines that both professional athletes and first timers can train to. Essentially, they've found the sweet spot when it comes to training; forcing you to work and sweat hard, with a smile on your face.
If this sounds like your happy place, Blackout is worth a visit.
