Inject a little magic into your smoothie routine and reach for a bottle of kombucha as your liquid base. Not only does it add a tongue-tingling effervescence, but you’re also getting a nice dose of probiotics to enhance the digestive process (which may be working overtime this year!)
I chose lemongrass kombucha to give a lonely pear some sass and added an array of digestive boosting and aromatic herbs to give it some green and personality.
Now blend it up and raise a glass… to your health!
Kombucha Smoothie Ingredients
Go organic.
- 1 pear, peel on, no core
- 1 cup lemongrass kombucha (my fave is Rise)
- 2-3 basil leaves
- 2-3 mint leaves
- 1-inch chunk of fresh fennel bulb, grated if needed
Mellow greens like spinach or romaine make a great addition to detoxifying and oxygenating chlorophyll. Add ’em in if you feel so inclined. Add a bit more kombucha, too.
Blend it all until smooth and have an effervescent and vibrant (and warming) February.
