There’s no better way to start these bright sunny mornings than with a refreshing smoothie.
For this fresh baby, we’re honouring the sun with orange and apricot. They complement each other well and offer up tons of vitamin C and rich phytonutrients. Fennel adds another fresh and clean tone to help promote good digestion.
And for good measure, a hint of green from seasonal sunflower sprouts. I’ve been finding these in bushels at the farmer’s market. So addicting!
Slurp up and buzz in summer with open arms.
Ingredients
Go organic.
- 1 orange, peeled and seeded
- 1 apricot, no pit
- 2-inch chunk of fennel bulb
- a pinch of sunflower sprouts
- 1 Tbsp hemp hearts
- 1 tsp of honey (optional)
- 1 cup coconut water or almond milk
Blend on high until frothy and sip it back. Cheers to a bright, bright sunshiney day!
