This pre-made breakfast will have you bounding out of bed – even if you’re not a morning person. Overnight oats for one and all!
In this video edition of Tweak & Eat, Niki Boileau shows us the simple steps involved in making a high energy
breakfast that doesn’t require setting the alarm early. In her classic Tweak & Eat style, she takes the tired overnight oats trend and wakes it up with a jolt of green tea matcha for a highly nutritious and energy boosting brekkie.
Niki’s recipe calls for green tea powder (aka matcha), organic mint tea, almond milk, maple syrup or honey, dried oats, chia seeds, flax seeds, puffed quinoa, toasted coconut, cacao nibs, strawberries (or any fresh berries you like). The toppings can be changed up for variety or to match your tastes. This recipe is already vegan but if you want to make it gluten-free too, just use gluten-free oats.
The best part of this nutrient-packed breakfast is that you make it the night before so you can hit snooze one extra time. What a decadent and delicious way to start the day.
