We're putting greens – all kinds – at centre stage this week. Team them up with pineapple, ginger and lime and you have a blend that will stoke up your digestion and nutrient assimilation capabilities big-time.
But wait, the real star of the show here is celery. Think celery has no nutritional value? I can't even count how many times I've heard that. Well, think again! Listen to food expert Preet Marwaha rave about just how valuable – in fact, quite amazing – celery really is in the latest tuja podcast. Trust me, you'll be snackin' on celery every chance you get. Ingredients
Aim for organic.
1-2 slim stalks of celery, chopped small to avoid "the stringies"
1 Tbsp fresh lime juice, be generous
handful of romaine or your favourite leafies
1/3 an avocado
1 inch chunk of ginger
1 cup chopped frozen pineapple
1 Tbsp chia seed
1-2 tsp liquid honey or maple syrup
Filtered water to desired thickness OR try some soda water for some sparkle.
Give it all a good buzz in your blender and you'll be rising for a standing ovation.
