You might be able to find a lot of great things in Toronto. Yet when you want to make a change, you get out of dodge. Nothing says inner peace like going to a land far, far away.
But, if you really want to make a change that sticks, why not make some changes right in the middle of the city? That way you don’t have to separate life into work at home and play away from home. There is an in-between.
Jennifer Thomson has created a retreat that is urban, small and mighty. The urban part sets it in downtown Toronto for five days. Small caps it at 10 participants, so you get lots of individual attention. And mighty because it covers a lot: mobility, strength, conditioning, mindfulness and nutrition modules.
This is happening soon: from June 1 to June 5, setting you up for a fit summer (patio hopping is not a sport). From 9am-2pm daily, participants have a chance to dive deep into their personal health and fitness goals, rather than expecting big results, overnight.
Jennifer is excited to “help women to learn to meet their goals. Helping to define their goals and learning methods to meet them is going to be super empowering.”
So rather than wishing and hoping that you could do a handstand and run around a track like Usain Bolt, you can learn what you need to do to get there. Beginners are absolutely welcome and they’ll go over basic mechanics, like how to squat and what to eat to power through a workout.
Jennifer adds, “We take small numbers to cater to all different fitness levels. In terms of transfer of habits and behaviour, it’s a lot more useful to experience this stuff in Toronto rather than having to transfer it from when you were away, when there is no stress.”
It’s not just about the fitness. It’s not just about the nutrition. It is about combined changes that add up.
There’s a group of nine other people who you have not yet met, but who absolutely believe in you. Why should we move to stay the same? Let’s stay put yet grow exponentially.
